Day 57: Intercom, Evening

Varying opinions aside about the new caretakers, the efficiency of the military was worthy of some admiration. The Great Escape ended with minutes to spare, and the staff wasted no time in dismantling the equipment in the Sun Room. Visitors were kindly informed that visiting hours were over while patients were ushered to their rooms

Aigis was returned to her room as usual. Today's whirlwind of emotions had left her feeling down, and so very, very tired. But she had business to take care of tonight, so rest would need to come later.

She passed her desk today, still refusing to eat the food, but she would need to at least take a few bites before she left for the night. For now, she just wanted to be comforted. Sitting on the bed, she opened her box and retrieved Schrodinger, cuddling the kitten plushie to her chest.

Heat was gone. She knew that for good now. He was Heath, and there was nothing she could do to convince him otherwise. He was beyond her reach.

For a while, Aigis just allowed herself a moment to cry. Really let loose and cry. She didn't care if anyone heard her or not. She just needed a moment, then she would be able to compose herself for the night.
