Night 57: North of the Institute

Ugh. The transition from the hallway to the outdoors made Rita's stomach churn uncomfortably. She hadn't been feeling that great to begin with, having skipped most of her meals lately.
Rita didn't plan on going into untold danger on an empty stomach, though. If she was meeting the others in the Kitchen, then if she got there soon enough, she'd be able to grab something from the surrounding pantries or refrigerator.
For now, she just needed to focus on getting to the meeting point without catching the attention of any monsters. Rita followed the wall to the east for a bit, walking until she was reasonably sure she was next to the Courtyard. There, she found some vines hanging from the wall. She tugged on them, making sure the cold weather hadn't made them too brittle to hold her weight, then used them to climb to the top of the wall.
Her flashlight went on briefly, just so she could confirm that she was indeed at the Courtyard, and that there wasn't an enemy directly beneath her. Once that was done, the light went off again and she dropped down.
