Byrne knew the route to Badd's room almost by heart now, and it didn't take him long to reach the block where the detective's room was located. He moved quickly and quietly with purpose in his stride, letting nothing distract him from his goal. Nothing else mattered right now except for his partner. He felt kind of like a soldier moving like this - isn't that what they were all supposed to be, anyway? Or so these people claimed.
You know what? Aguilar was right about that. They were all soldiers here. But this soldier wasn't fighting for petty rewards or to further some evil madman's plan. No, he was fighting for freedom, justice, and all that was good and pure. The raven of truth, shedding light upon the darkness and destroying the evil that was trapping these people here!
