These walls, the closed off doorways and yawning entrances to hallways were already beginning to seem familiar. The same could be said of the burning scent that seemed omnipresent, especially now that his senses seemed to be regaining a little of their old strength. It bit at his nose, the smell, curled inside his lungs until his throat and nose and lungs all felt as though they'd been scoured in sand.
He was tired of the smell, which appeared to be everywhere, and varied only in intensity.
There was nothing of interest beyond the first door, and so Sesshoumaru continued once again to the hallway.
