In truth, the Digimon agreed utterly with Utena. Why had a man that was supposedly to be Doyle' shadow work with the one who had been the face of this for so long? It was likely true that Landel would turn out as nothing but a pawn, but either way, the way he went about his actions were his own. He could justify all he liked, say that the ends would forgive the means, and still the option of a path had once been before him.
Perhaps Renamon shouldn't judge prematurely. There had been much she committed for one that was all that mattered. No, her thoughts were more on the upcoming hike. A quick walk through the institute was fine, but she wasn't sure if she could keep up once they hit the woods.

She slid the shear knife onto the strap in her garter belt, eyes watching the shadows for obscurities. Utena asked about directions, which Tear was more than happy to add after Renamon's statement. "My friend mentioned it being found alongside a river," she explained. "The river itself was in the forest, though I'm not certain about the ruins."
The logic here was simple: if they could locate the river and follow its path, they should be able to reach their location.
