As he ascended the staircase, he wondered over what the other two had decided to do following their final shift meeting. Since the incident in the town, Kurogane had given up on searching out the magician and stopping him from doing whatever it was he did at night - he wouldn't be wasting anymore energy. When it came to Tsubaki, he had decided on his own to keep a bit more distance. He had seen things from what he could only assume was her past, and whether or not he had done so willingly, he knew it concerned the girl. She didn't need to have him reminding her of such things if she was going to survive in this place. And, he knew, she could take care of herself without him.
