Night 58: Main Hallway 2-West

[from here]Snow reached the top of the stairs within moments. This was the part where he was supposed to start raising hell and kicking in doors. If he had still been as infuriated as he had been when first leaving his room, he probably would have done that immediately. Right now, there was a slight delay. Maybe it was just an after effect of... ( Read more... )

[From here.]

The second floor looked pretty much the same as the first with a similar amount of traffic. What was up here? The prisoners were never taken here during the day that Zero knew of, nor was the floor's purpose ever explained to him by any of the staff. He paused to take in his surroundings briefly, then looked over at Ema again to make sure she was following along without too much trouble.

...and then the intercom activated much like the radio had earlier - very unexpectedly. Like before, the once-Reploid went on alert, and then relaxed slightly as he listened carefully to what was being said. A traitor...was that the man who just spoke over the radio, Marc? The mention of the two prisoners who refused to talk, plus whatever the mysterious 'consequences' were, was worrisome as well. Worse yet, the man over the intercom (it was Aguilar, wasn't it?) expected the prisoners to betray a comrade in exchange for some hefty reward. A sick but unsurprising tactic to pull. Hopefully none of the prisoners would fall for it ( ... )

Mr. Dent's directions seemed clear enough. It was a path she was actually familiar with, having traveled it two nights ago with Lana to get to the file storage room, and there were few turns and only one doorway to deal with, assuming giant rats weren't waiting for them just up ahead. The second floor always made Ema a touch nervous for that reason; memories of her first night exploring with Agatha were still pretty fresh in her mind. At least this time, Ema was sure that Mr. Dent and Zero were both better equipped to deal with them than she and... well, no, Agatha knew what she was doing. It was only Ema who was unable to defend herself, and she was more helpless now--something she was sure Mr. Dent and Zero had both noticed by now, even as she tried to hide it ( ... )

There was definitely a lot for them to listen to tonight, seeing how the intercom came to life not soon after Marc's little message. Harvey took in Aguilar's words with a look on his face like he'd just eaten something sour. It was good to hear that there was apparently someone out there giving the general a hard time; too bad he couldn't have been a part of that ( ... )
