The second floor looked pretty much the same as the first with a similar amount of traffic. What was up here? The prisoners were never taken here during the day that Zero knew of, nor was the floor's purpose ever explained to him by any of the staff. He paused to take in his surroundings briefly, then looked over at Ema again to make sure she was following along without too much trouble.
...and then the intercom activated much like the radio had earlier - very unexpectedly. Like before, the once-Reploid went on alert, and then relaxed slightly as he listened carefully to what was being said. A traitor...was that the man who just spoke over the radio, Marc? The mention of the two prisoners who refused to talk, plus whatever the mysterious 'consequences' were, was worrisome as well. Worse yet, the man over the intercom (it was Aguilar, wasn't it?) expected the prisoners to betray a comrade in exchange for some hefty reward. A sick but unsurprising tactic to pull. Hopefully none of the prisoners would fall for it ( ... )
