Kirk ran into the main hallway and found nothing there except more pink light coating everything. His gut feeling said that if something was happening, it should've happened already, but he was a loss to explain what was going on. The system (if he could call it that, vague as it was to describe the whole Landel's torture/

The Earth expression "speak of the devil", had Kibitoshin known how to use it at all, would probably have been appropriate at that moment. Faintly sacrilegious, but appropriate.
Kibitoshin reappeared in the main hallway in a not altogether elegant fashion, knee buckling under the sudden unexpected weight of his body- wait, unexpected? Was he really that out of practise? ... no, no, he'd always been like that. It took a moment for him to reorient himself, straightening up and checking the hall around him, and- yes! He'd done it! He was in the right hall!
Even so, he couldn't quite find it in himself to be entirely pleased at his success. There was obviously going to be some kind of terrible drawback to it, or- or some even more terrible reason as to why he could suddenly do all of this again. Like a giant monster attack. And it wasn't as though he was entirely free again anyway; one quick check was enough to tell him that he still couldn't move himself home, so there had to be some sort of base line to it ( ... )

He glanced over at Peter, eyebrows raised in consideration. "Yeah, maybe. Something's sure as hell gotten loose."
More than one something, possibly. Knowing their luck, it was likely more. Definitely knowing their luck, it was likely lots and lots more. God, this was so not a good sign.
When Peter stopped at the foot of the stairs, Sam stopped with him. As soon as the words, Guess not left his mouth, something dropped right in front of them a few feet away. Christ-He had his gun trained on the figure before he realized that it was-just the guy they were supposed to meet. Oh. He hastily lowered his arm. Wait. They were back? Who was back? Was this a good thing? The way the guy ( ... )

Peter was about to bring it up to his roommate, but at that moment a few very startling things happened in quick succession. First, Kibitoshin was suddenly just there, the way that Hiro Nakamura had suddenly just been not there in Kirby Plaza. He was babbling on about something that Peter could barely register due to the fact that Sam almost shot the guy ( ... )

And blinked. Why were his boots sticking to the floor? Had someone spilled something, or...?
He glanced down- and immediately winced. Blood. Already. And with it so thickly laid out there was no way to pass the red off as a side-effect of the glow. It wasn't as though he was squeamish about that sort of thing anymore, not after the things he'd seen in his thousands of years, but it wasn't exactly a good sign for the rest of the night ( ... )

Curiously, he turned to the man ready to watch him in action, if he could do it: what was it going to be? Maybe some form of ki energy? A transformation? Or even-
Peter was only in the air for a few moments, but that was enough to put a smile on Kibitoshin's face. "You can do it too? That's great! I had no idea you were such an accomplished warrior!" And since he'd asked Sam to come along as well, that probably meant that he was a warrior of some experience too ( ... )

Though Dean might insist otherwise.
His eyebrows lifted just a hint at the phrase accomplished warrior, but it wasn't the weirdest thing he'd heard since he arrived here, so he figured it wasn't worth questioning. Nor Kibitoshin's Energizer Bunny attitude. Better than the opposite, though, so Sam wasn't complaining. He just wasn't...used to it. Tended to happen when your company was a demon, an unblinking monotone angel, and...Dean. Dean was just Dean ( ... )
