When she wasn't so busy doing ridiculously cool things with magic that she didn't stop to think about the part where the world ended and the entire hope of humanity rested on her fragile grasp of powers that did not answer to logic or study or her own previous experience.
Right now, however, she was looking for Rita. She'd expected to be herded into the cafeteria, but instead they were handed boxes and turned semi-loose on a limited suite of options, which multiplied the possibilities of where the other girl could be, without truly increasing their mobility or freedom.
So she waited and watched, journal tucked securely under one arm, by the bulletin board, which happened to be conveniently centrally located.
