Thankfully, this portion of the hall was completely empty, leaving them with relative privacy. He glanced over at the other blond. "Well, it was all right, but..."
Of course, Claude once again considered just omitting what had happened with Mom. But by now Guy had probably noticed the unease that followed his question, which would make the lie pretty obvious. After all they'd been through together, and the promises they'd made to each other, could he really just sweep something like that under the rug? Out of everyone in the institute, Guy was probably the only one who could understand his anxiety about what his mother was planning...
"To be honest, I'm worried about my mom," Claude finally confessed. "She's...still got her sights set on the basement."
