> Rose: Open second door

You can't open the second door by yourself! It takes two people to do that. The inscription says so.

Not that you've read it yet.Rose looked up at the door, the previous one's precise opposite number. The hallway had not been the esophagus of a great beast, at least so far. Or it was a very stone-covered, hallway- ( Read more... )

Gamzee followed in after Rose, and damn was that an awesome door they were coming up on next. It was a door, wasn't it? There were so many decorations, beasts of all shapes and sizes carved right into it. He laid a hand along its surface, lost in the design for a moment before he realized Rose was doing something else.

He was going to tell her to be careful, maybe. Those fangs looked sharp. But then she pricked her finger on it and he could only stare at the red blood that dripped out. That's right. Humans all had red blood. And he was a human now too, wasn't he? Unable to help himself, he stuck his finger under the opposite fang, then pulled away and just watched it bleed. Bright red, just like every other human. He'd thought perhaps it might still be his own blood beneath this pink exterior, but that didn't seem to be the case.

"...Well motherfuck."

Sea monsters? Seishin offered Ilia a puzzled glance, but didn't ask. The artifacts had already been inserted into the door, allowing them entrance in the hallway beyond which appeared empty. He followed the teens inside, who had already gone ahead towards the next set of doors.

The doors...their carvings were in complete contrast with the ones they had just gone through, depicting demons instead of angels. A snake's head stuck out at the middle of these doors, with two sharp-looking fangs. The former priest approached in time to notice the two teenagers pricking their hands on them.

"Please be careful," Seishin said, before his gaze fell on the writings that he had missed earlier because of the darkness. A frown appeared on his features. A blood sacrifice? That...could hardly be a good sign, could it?
