"Jack," the voice on the intercom scoffed out of nowhere, "oh, dear, and you call me a liar! Of course, I have no time for petty games at the moment. No, no, right now, I'm at the end of another long night and yet again I've been too busy looking after your collective behinds to give you new games to play with. You'll just have to deal with the same old toys for now. Aheh, not that you all care. I'm sure all of you are completely oblivious to just how amusing this place can really be..."
He cleared his throat, then sighed, and his chair squeaked as if he was leaning back in it.
"But no matter. Daylight is upon all of you, isn't it? I'm sure most of you are either being quick about using your last minute of 'freedom' for all it's worth or simply slumping in a bed, bleeding after being injured by all my little pets. Years of research, this place took, I'll have you know. I'm sure Alec could tell you all about that, of course..."
Another sigh, though this time, the admonishing clicking of a tongue came with it.
"I suppose that's all you ingrates can comprehend for the moment. And so the cycle continues."
The intercom clicked off, and the lights came on.
