Night 25, Radio Broadcast #3

Jul 28, 2007 13:19

(The radio was not done for the night. That now-familiar click sounded again, flooding the halls with dry static. No music this time, though if one listened closely some could be made out in the background - as though the DJ himself was listening to a radio....)

My poor little friends. Haven't you learned? Don't you listen? I give you everything you need, but you fail to heed. You always fail to heed. Don't you remember what I told you the other night? If you don't listen, you'll bleed and die and you'll never find your friends. The end will come, and you will wonder 'what could I have done different?'. Listen to me! For the love of whatever gods you believe in, listen!

Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

Ignore the big bad boogy man. You aren't ready for what he's luring you to. Not by a long shot. You can't even kill creatures I told you how to kill! And you think you can escape? You're like children, running around and thinking you can do everything yourself - you need help! Children fall when they don't hold their parent's hand - you will die. And I will not hold your hands every step of the way, but I will guide you. I want to see you out, I want to see you home. I want to see you break this place in two, but I'm beginning to doubt you can do it.

Prove me wrong, my cats and kittens. Prove to me my faith in you should stay strong. I can't stay any longer. I've said my peice, I leave you to it. Don't let me down.

(And the radios went silent, snapping off in unison.)
