The Sun Room appeared no different from the time Ken entered in last night. What he could make of the floor seemed perfectly intact while sounds inside were nothing of consequence. Nothing mangled, nothing broken, at least as far as the boy could sense.
Still, the chance for change remained, a fact the child wasn't willing to risk. On instinct, he broke out into a run (rather difficult with a long weapon), hoping to reach the cafeteria before anything in the room noticed his presence. It shouldn't be impossible; after all, the walk across the Sun Room was supposed to be short.
Right?
