Nightshift 36: Chapel

At first, Anise only opened the door just far enough to poke her head inside. "Hello?" she cautiously called into the room. After a few moments, it looked like it was safe to assume nothing was going to lunge at her right at the door, so she opened it all the way and stepped inside.

There was a faint glow of moonlight from the windows, but for the most part, the chapel just looked like a mess of shadows to her. Not wanting to run ahead recklessly in the dark, Anise moved to the side of the doorway to give room for Xelloss to follow with the flashlight.
