As much as Sasuke hated waiting, he was forced to accept the fact that he had to. This was unfamiliar territory and his main guide to where things were and what was around him was unfortunately his two companions for the night. The idea sent a wave of fury (mostly at himself; himself and this damn place) through him, hot and sharp.
But this was neither the time nor place. Sasuke tamped all unnecessary emotions down with his usual brutal force and shifted his sword into a defensive grip, waiting for the footsteps of the other two.
