Nightshift 40: Game Room

((Limping in from here.))

As Dias carried him into the next room, Claude wished in the back of his mind that he could get a better look at what was around them. He couldn't help but remember the last time he'd gone into one of these side rooms, and how they'd wound up fighting those two horrible creatures.

Their chances against a couple of those would probably have been better.

"You can put me down now," he hoarsely muttered. His mouth was pulled into a tight frown, though it was hard to tell whether it was because he didn't like being carried by Dias, or if it was an unconscious reaction to the pain pulsing through his body.

"A-anyway, you and..." Claude began to add, but he had to pause as a dizzy spell passed over him. Closing his eyes, all he could do was try to wait for it to pass.

What he'd wanted to say was that Dias and Guy would be better off tending to their own injuries and making sure they were all right. He couldn't have been the only one who was poisoned, right? He'd feel really stupid, if that was the case.

claude, guy, dias
