Nightshift 42: M-C Block Hallway

The flashlight beam cut through the darkness, but there appeared to be no obstacles obstructing his path. There were no signs of life, either, outside of the fact that someone had obviously built the structure he was currently in. He wouldn't have initially believed he was the only one being kept here, and unless he'd been the only one allowed to roam free, it was doubtful his room was the only one that had been left unlocked.

Yet no matter which way he looked, he was the only one in the immediate area.

Most curious -- and inconvenient, since it meant there was no one for him to question. Of course, there was the possibility that anyone he found would have as little information as himself, but it was better than failing to locate a single being at all. Perhaps he'd be able to find more clues pertaining to not only his own whereabouts, but to that of his colleagues' as well. After all, if he had managed to become lost, or abducted, or injured somehow, then it was possible that other members of the crew had been affected as well.

The adjoining hallways seemed to be identical to the one he'd just exited, but there was a door to his left. Moving as silently as he could manage, Spock pushed it open and stepped into the next hallway.
