Empty hallways, as had become the norm. The crowds were always thin up until you got a little closer to the stairs, and Harvey wasn't sure what accounted for that. He imagined that people just didn't start lingering until they had reached one of the so-called popular meeting places. It really didn't matter in the end, though, since clear corridors were his preference. Trying to shoulder around people while they were staring at his split face was always enough to grind his gears.
Getting to the stairs was a simple task by now, and so Harvey didn't waste any time. It did occur to him that he shouldn't be going upstairs without someone to accompany him, but he'd figure something out. Or he wouldn't. His last monster attack had been a while ago, and it was hard to know if that meant he should stop worrying or if it meant he was due for one.
He'd just drive himself nuts thinking in circles like that, though. Shaking his head, Harvey quickly pushed through the door and out into the hall.
