There was no chance that he was the only patient in the place, yet the moment the thought crossed his mind, he couldn't ignore the potential

Visitors again tomorrow, Indy thought morosely as he moved from the empty men's block hallway into the empty connecting one. Damn, had it been a whole week already? He wished he had more to show for his progress in that time. He hadn't even managed to figure out where Dad was or what they'd done to him. If he came back again this time, maybe Indy'd have a shot at finding out more.
He was torn between hoping for a visit and dreading it. It had been awful to see Dad like that--parroting Landel's ridiculous make-believe stories, never mind the unusual degree of affection he'd shown--but at least if he kept coming back, Indy knew he was all right for the time being.
Still musing on all that, he turned right at the junction and started to make for the main hall.

The path from his room to the stairs wasn't too long, which meant that he only had a small amount of space and time in which he could wrangle up another patient to head up there with him. Usually he only bothered looking once he reached the hall that ran perpendicular to this one, but...
It was hard to tell in the dark and when his flashlight only reached so far, but he was pretty sure he noticed a familiar form in a familiar set of clothing up ahead of him.
Jones was moving like he had somewhere to be, but there was always the chance that he didn't -- and if not, maybe he had somewhere interesting that he was going. Harvey wasn't all that set on the second floor, at least not to the point where he wasn't willing to change his plans if something more intriguing was put before him.
"Jones!" he called out, raising his voice enough to catch the other man's attention before he rounded a corner.

Indy had left his own similar weapon back in the room in favor of the whip and a free hand to use it, but he decided he wouldn't be opposed to having another one around, if Dent was inclined to play sidekick again (and assuming he was actually willing to use it). He hadn't run across any lab rats lately except the minotaur, but the intercom announcement had sounded even more foreboding than usual, so it couldn't hurt to be cautious. More relevantly, tonight's errand was likely to be boring. Conversation might keep him on his toes. Maybe it'd be worth asking.
"Dent," he answered with a nod of greeting. "Find out anything about Lunge?"

"Anyway, apparently they messed with his memory. I don't know if he told you, but he's got eidetic memory, so he can usually remember things word for word with no mistakes." Once again, Harvey couldn't help thinking about how apt that was, considering the man's profession. The former almost definitely must have led to the latter.
"Now he's having trouble remembering stuff, which has to be spooky if you've gone your whole life not having to worry about it." Wouldn't that have been nice? But this institute liked to take people down a notch, and his roommate was apparently no exception.

The question was where to go. Jones' destination (or rather, the object of his search) was enough to get him curious, and it was also a more solid plan than what Harvey had come up with. "I was planning to check out the second floor some more. Not for anything in particular, though." Which he supposed meant he could go with Jones instead. It was possible the man was going to search the second floor for what he wanted, anyway.
"But what do you need a fire extinguisher for?" he asked, tone somewhat incredulous as he eyed Jones. He had to have known that question was coming. Maybe the reasoning would be even more worthwhile to know than the item itself.

"Fine with me," he said, leading them out into the main hallway.
