He frowned, glancing down at the slip of paper again to make sure he hadn't read it wrong. As expected, that wasn't the case, which really only left one other answer

When they got through the doorway and looked around, Indy saw his own confusion mirrored on Dent's face: this wasn't the patio. Damn. He pulled out his maps as well and unfolded the second-floor one. Yeah, it'd definitely been the right hallway; it just hadn't led to the right place. The area they were actually in was dominated by a counter that looked like it should serve food. If that was correct, they weren't too far off their intended destination.

"The maps've been good so far. Maybe whoever made them just mislabeled this section," he said, hoping that was the extent of the mistakes. Well, the maps had been patient-drawn, probably by amateurs; it wasn't surprising that there might be a few errors. "If I'm right, the kitchen should be through this door."

Indy indicated the off-center door on what the map designated as the south wall of the room. It was locked, but the door was of the same easily-broken ilk as most of its fellows, and he was able to get it down with no more trouble than usual.
