Nothing in here either. Snow was starting to wonder if maybe Badou had been exaggerating when he said all of the staff turn into monsters. The place'd probably be crawling with Cie'th if that were really the case, or maybe they were all off in another part of the building. At least there wasn't anyone getting attacked or anything yet. So the place wasn't a ghost town! Glancing over the other patients who were lingering around in this part of the hall, Zack made sure to check for anyone he knew. As it turned out, he was surrounded by strangers, but that was no problem. He hadn't run out of places to look for Cloud yet, although he had to admit he was getting kind of close. He could always round the corner and then go up the other side, but hopefully it wouldn't come to that.
And... wait, was that a kid he saw? Definitely looked like one, and Zack almost felt like he should go over and talk to the boy. But then he remembered the last time he'd gotten tied up with a brat, and he thought better of it. He had someone to meet, anyway.
Cloud wouldn't leave him hanging; that was one thing Zack felt he could be almost sure of. He was used to heading for the stairs by now, but lots of people also waited around there, so maybe that's where his friend was. It was worth a shot, anyway, and so Zack continued in that direction.
