It was almost expected, that his roommate didn't show all through dinner. Zack had made sure to keep an eye on the door as he'd worked through his meal, but more and more time had passed, and eventually he'd just assumed that another one had bitten the dust. Though that probably wasn't in the most literal sense. After what he'd heard from Taura earlier, Zack got the feeling that deaths only happened in specific ways. Either his roommate had gone home or been sent somewhere else. Somewhere worse, somewhere better? Who knew
