Another bare hallway, Asuka observed once she poked her head out of the F-A block and shined her light back and forth. Even when she left her room rather promptly, there was almost always a handful of patients coming or going. Maybe she had just been way too uptight tonight for this mission. But was that such a terrible thing? This ( Read more... )

( aaaand back from here!)Leading Claire and Peter back the way they two of them just came didn't feel like a chore, certainly. Now that they had what they wanted, the trip towards Edward's room would be - she hoped - quick. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and she couldn't help but wonder where Venom was, or if he was going to be upset with her. When she realized she was being that eager for approval, she tried to force the anxiety away, clearing her throat. Right. This was about Edward, not about introducing her friends and family ( ... )

The last thing that Peter had wanted to do was make Bella so flustered that she dropped what she was carrying just to shake his hand, but in the end no harm had really been done. She'd picked the bat up just as soon, and then they'd gotten on their way. He hadn't even realized that the room numbers went as high as 114, but that was probably only for the male patients, anyway. The female block could apparently stay at just forty rooms without there being a problem. The gender inconsistency still seemed odd to him ( ... )
