My dearest Elaine,

Hearing more of the horrors of this place, I saddened to think that you are here, subject to the whims and machinations of this fiendish Institution. And yet, somehow I feel safer knowing you are here with me, to bring me comfort with your radiant beauty, strength with your indomitable spirit, and aid with your cunning and skill. I cannot feel that working together, there is no evil we cannot overcome.

However, I have not been graced with your charming presence for over a day, and I long to speak with you again. The longer I have not felt your touch, heard your voice, or laid eyes on your elegant features, the more grey and lifeless this hospital seems. I long for your company, for the barest of conversation, to know you are still present.

Please, tell me that you are safe. Let me know when I can see you again. Grant me the incomparable pleasure of your companionship, if only briefly, that I may continue my vigilance against this dreadful place with renewed stamina.

With the greatest care and love beyond measure,
LeChuck
