Well it wasn't really a real 'gig.' We weren't getting paid or anything but it was still us playing as a full band infront of a good sized group of people. Going back a few years.....I used to work at Douglas College, I had told my mom about a job opening there. She was unhappy at her current job so she applied and got the job. I have since quit ( Read more... )

thanks kalli!
That would be great to have you come out to see us play! For the time being tho you'll able to hear our music off the net. I think we're gonna post them on our Myspace account. I will definately let you know when we get the songs up :D

hehe we actually didn't play a single Christmas song. We played most of our originals and 4 covers. As for covers we played "Mary Jane's Last Dance" by Tom Petty, "What's Up" by 4 Non Blondes, "The Weight" by The Band (an oldie but a goodie), and lastly "High and Dry" by Radiohead.
I was going to do Bobby Helm's version of Jingle Bell Rock but I had to capo it on 3 and it was too much of a pain to transpose cuz the lead guitar player's guitar has issues with capos and he has to tune up each time he uses it. That's why I love acoustic guitars so much, I never have to tune up after using the capo :D

oh yeah and we are recording somewhere in North Vancouver. I can't remember the name of it.... lol
Unfortunately it's the same day as my work Christmas party. I'm hoping all goes well at recording and I'm able to sneak to the party after we're done. At least the party is in North Van too.
