what a fucker. when i worked at staples, they kept scheduling me on days that i couldn't have come in anyway, since i had late classes. even after a month, this still were like "wha...?" when i told them my availability.
i dunno if you're in the right area, but craigslist.org usually has good job listings, or there may be other job listing sites for your area...

yeah, people who can't comprehend the fact that it is necessary to give college students (well, anyone actually) reliable schedules are assholes.

i'm not too worried about the finding a new job thing.. there's always waitressing jobs, not to mention telemarketing.. though i'd probably kill myself before i'd ever do that again.

You should write him a letter and drop it off for him when you go to get your check and tell him exactly what you think of him.

i was thinking about it. i was going to write a letter to that perkins in general stating that someone in his position who can't even control his temper in such a situation should really be re-evaluated as far as his suitability to be manager. i don't care if he did the training, did the time to be able to step up a rung; if you can't handle simple situations at work, you shouldn't be manager.
