[personality]
Yuuko is a mysterious individual, as there is much unknown about her. Her personality, ultimately, is that of many oracles and sages, offering advice, but not the answer to those who seek it. When doing so Yuuko is calm, collected, and speaks in metaphors and riddles. While she can foresee answers and events, she does know that change and fate is also inevitable. Her most famed quote is just that, “There is no such thing as coincidence; there is only hitsuzen.”
While a wise sage she may be, Yuuko also take the time to enjoy her life and incorporate joy and humor into her life. She is fond of great food, an avid social drinker, and does get hangovers on occasion (which she foresaw, truly!, but that sake was worth it!). Yuuko also has a tendency to build up to something, only for it to be a joke in the end or to admit that she was making it up the whole time. She loves to pick on her woobie, Watanuki, who is usually the butt of the shop owners jokes.
Yuuko is very much a woman filled with quirks, and she knows it. She loves reading old-school manga and TV shows, has a definite fashion flair, continuously quotes the Kodansha Japanese Desk Dictionary (third edition), and plays a mean game of baseball. Her concept of personal space is up for questioning. She loves to boss Watanuki around, but it is always with complete love (and of course, fun too). She is also considered to be a “pushy salesman” by Watanuki, as Yuuko does do a bit of talking to offer her services to the public.
Yuko holds a different personality towards those she considers close to her, and her clients. Towards her friends, such as Larg (Black Mokona) and Watanuki, she can be very open to them, as well as immature (if the situation suits the need). However, to her clients Yuuko can possess a sense of secrecy and hold an ominous aura. Regardless of which a person is, she always treats them respect, despite how kind or irate they may be. Service is always served with a smile.
Also, Yuuko has been called many nicknames over the course of her lifetime, and her current one is an assumed name. This most likely had to deal with the old saying that “words have power”. In some magic, hair, items of ownership, and other things that have once been a part of a person can be used against them. One's name is the strongest of those, as it will follow you forever. Not allowing anyone to have the power over her name protects the witch, in a sense.
Beautiful, mysterious, a zombie or something of the sort, and fun-loving. Those traits will never change.
[orientation] She doesn't seem to have one, but it is is hinted at that she may have had some sort of relationship with Clow Reed in the past. Of course, this is CLAMP we're talking about. They'll hint at anything just to get a rise out of fans. So, UNKNOWN.

[misc notes] Supernatural abilities--magic, of course, though that is not rally fully explained what all she can do. Wish-granting abilities. Also seen have been: clairvoyance, psychic perception, telekinesis (to a small degree, such as moving small objects from place to place, turning off candles), divination (through scrying, visions, palm-reading, pendulum, and horoscope). Can see magical and supernatural creatures that normal people can't. Can create barriers, and move through thick, sickly auras.

It was inevitable, Yuuko believed, that whether in one world or another, she would somehow always serve the people. While she had once worked a shop that granted wishes, now it seemed her business in Ukiyo would be different, but still granting wishes... of a different sort.
The raven-haired woman was currently sitting in her room; the scent of flavored tobacco floated through it in wisps of beautiful smoke. Her clothes were decent, but nothing she found particularly amazing. The jade bracelet around her delicate wrist was the most interesting item of note. Yuuko twirled it along her arm with a slender index finger, tapping the end of the kiseru against it once to hear the ring it made when tapped.
“What an interesting place I have ended up at,” Yuuko stated, voice filling up the empty room. Her garnet eyes stared out the window, taking in the sight of what she felt would be her new home for some time. What kind of people would she meet here? People she already knew from other worlds?
...Would that wish of hers come true, just like he said...
The woman blinked once, drawing her out of the trance she had been in. Thinking about something wouldn't make it come true.
That was one thing she had always known.
