You should live your life and try to make the world a better place, whether or not you believe in God. If there is no God, you have lost nothing and will be remembered fondly by those you left behind. Nitpicky point: that's more an Agnostic's Wager than an Athiest's....

But I'd agree with it, given that I believe in a benevolent God....

I can see that interpretation from that first line, but there's no real way to make that first phrase all inclusive and explicitly atheist. It's intended to say "All this is possible regardless of god." which is the atheist point, not so much "Even if god is unknowable." which is kind of how it sounds. Hehe.

The Atheist's Wager was one of the things that made me more resolute in my decision to stop being religious. Sweet.
