15-20 min - Dayum! I have to do a 3-4 minute thesis by summer '06, and I'm already nervous. ^^;;

That volume of work would require a lot more than a single animator. There are a bunch of animation studios in NYC, but of course, that's where the budget rises. It's hard to say without knowing what they're willing to spend.

Yeah, like I replied to Ian, I kinda knew the answer already but promised the guy I'd ask around. In fact, I already warned the guy this morning that they don't realize how much they're asking for here.

He thinks that there's some kind of rending 3d software that looks like cel animation that could do the job easily, and whuile I know there IS stuff like that our there, it's still a LOT of work and a lot of time and a lot of bucks...

When I was looking around at some animation studios for work-related projects this summer, I remember hearing quotes of like 10-15,000 smackers per minute of animation, so I knew this was a pretty crazy longshot.

Anywho, thanks for the feedback, too! ^_^

Heh, yeah.

When he first told me 15-20 mins., I knew that this involved MAJOR bucks, and that chances were reaaaally slim.

But I promised him I'd ask around, regardless, ya know?

From what he's saying, it's prolly more like he'd be happy with about 5 mins of stuff, mostly small stuff (15-30sec bits) that gets strung together with live action shots and etc...

But I think he/they are still trying to figure exactly what they want.

Thanks for the feedback, tho!
