I think the Leafs are trying to kill me this season.
Steen and Stajan are certainly earning their stripes, and Sundin came back like he wasn't gone at all (and found O'Neill on his trip back to the Leafs, amazing! :p)
Allison feels a little lost on the Stajan-Steen line and I'd move him around a bit maybe pair him with Lindros and Tucker. Belak is playing a fairly competent defensive forward position.
Belfour just had to go and try to throw the game away giving Tampa the 5 on 3 powerplay that lead to a goal... stupid stupid penalty.
The Leafs do seem to have the potential for 4 solid forward lines... Now, if they could shore up the defense a bit, they'd do a lot better. It's wierd, they can do amazing on th penalty kill, but can't quite get the same sort of thing going 5 on 5 defense wise.
Lots of penalties called. And Though I'm glad obstruction and hooking and interference seem to be "gone" for the most part, I'd like to see some more 5 on 5 hockey.
Oddly enough, it seems like the only person able to play well with Steen and Stajan is Wellwood. But I think that Quinn is avoiding all three together because they still lack a certain toughness. That said, Steen and Stajan with Sundin or Lindros could be interesting

Not a bad lineup suggestion!
My only worry is Czerkawski, since he really didn't impress me at the start of the season. But I do remember himplaying really solidly in the past years, so we can hope.
Splitting up Kaberle and McCabe is also a good idea, even if only temporarily. They seem to be getting sloppier each game, which I suspect is due to tiredness.
I was very pleased to hear that Perrott was traded away last night during the game -- we certainly won't miss his lackluster play.
And Poni just seems invisible to me on most nights -- I'm not sure what it is that Quinn sees in him. Sure,he racked up a few points this year so far, and there are the rare moments where he seems to actually TRY playing hard, but they are too few and far between.
Antropov was just starting to show glimmers of major potential when he got sick, so here's hoping that he'll be able to pick up where he left off...
And man oh man, but the talent is there. We just need a few of our key guys to rekindle their "spark"!!!

But, anyways, as always: Go Leafs Go.
