Despite their best efforts, despite them getting 18 out of 20 possible points in their last ten games, and despite whupping Ottawa 5-1 tonight, my Leafs are now officially out of the playoffs ( Read more... )

Well, you could be a Pittsburgh fan.

Oh, sure, the Steelers won the Super Bowl, but outside of this country nobody gives a rat's ass about that sport. The Pirates stink (for the thirteenth year in a row; that's damned close to a record), and the less we talk about the Penguins, the better. Sidney Crosby or no Sidney Crosby.

At least your Leafs were fighting for a playoff spot.

If the Leafs played all season like they did this past month, the outcome might be different. Since the losses to Montreal we knew that the Leafs playoff chances depended as much on other teams as it did on the Leafs ( ... )

Awww, even though we got Forsberg for him this season, I still missed Roenick's crazy antics.

We have Domi and Tucker, there's been tlak of Roenick and Avery coming to Toronto, I want Hockey not a three ring circus! :p

The the fact a team would have to play a Domi-Roenick-Tucker line might just have the "OH fuck, I don't want to have to deal with this shit" factor to make us start planning the parade route!

It's Gretzky's Fault we've not won the Cup recently!

I have made a promise that when the Leafs make the Stanley Cup Finals, I will be there for Games 4, 5, 6, and 7.

I may have to sell my kidney (I'd sell my liver... but c'mon, who'd want that? ) But damnit, I will be there. Then I'll be drunk all offseason. Just hope we can do this before Sundin retires.

Hey, long time, no talk!

Sounds like things are going well for you. After two years in Philly--and a Masters at Penn--I went back to Syracuse for school. Only something big happened. I found my husband, and moved out here to Colorado in February (technically in December, but who's counting). Am now looking for work again, but hopefully will find something soon.

My condolences on the Leafs. Not sure when the Flyers went out, but I am sure that they did. So it goes. There's always next year.
