The Butterscotch is scotchy sweet,
And fuzzy-wuzz, and fluffy-wuff,
And cuddly-cute and silky soft,
And lots of other snuggly stuff.
She stretchy-yawns and gives a mew
and holds out paws to ask for hugs
and pats my face and tousled hair
and lots of other snuggy-wugs.
She likes her nummy nibblies
and prowling stalking feather foes
and pouncing fierce on moving sheets,
a predator of wiggling toes.
She is a cat, and thus shall be
someday a lady, regal sleek
and disdain all such kittenish stuff...
but thankfully, not quite this week.
Come cuddle up against my neck
And purr at me throughout the night,
O Butterscotch, my ball of fluff,
You've brought me joy and such delight!
