He made it halfway across Denver in a pedal version of one of those things when he was four. If only they'd had the motorized ones then...

that's awe inspiring. the farthest I made it was to malibu castle from my parental house on my bike. and I was way older than 4.

That's the most real-looking piece of the entire photo. Everything else seems like a model, a mockup, not quite full-size/real.

you're right. could be the cropping/framing/distance. you only see portions of the close cars. and the far cars are all so small. it's an interesting contrast with the bigger thing far away (hence looking small) near a close smaller thing.

eggleston did it. I can't remember if I conciously thought of this eggleston photo when I took this one. my guess is not as I probably would have done it differently.

I liked some of the pictures from your random set. particularly the blue sky with criss-cross of trees and the liquor bottle wtih candle. the latter reminded me of this one of mine.

this is too great. it looks like it was a total set-up. but knowing you (or do i?) i would expect it to be a snap of something naturally un-natural.

somebody must have set it up, but twere'nt me. I wish whoever set it up could see the pic. I think they're appreciate it. next time I see such things, I'll leave them a note.

you apparently know me well enough to know that I didn't put in the creative effort to put that there.

precisely. enough of that seems to crop up around you without any assistance.

though it is also worth mentioning that when it comes to making creative effort, you excel.

I doubt any more of it crops up around me than anybody else. perhaps I tend to notice, nurture, photograph, and write about it more than most.

thank you, but cI excel at being creative in the way(s) I'm good at being creative. I'm lousy at being creative in some ways I want to be more creative. so it goes.
