It was an amazing weekend, with amazing friends, in an amazing city, heavily punctuated with Scary Larrys.

Today for lunch I had a delicious vegetable curry complimented nicely by a green salad topped with pesto pasta and served by a beautiful black man with dread locks at my favorite little lunch spot. Three words: CARNIVAL EN SITCHES.

So, I did it.

I took out my tongue ring.

To be honest, besides the strange emptiness in my mouth, I don´t even miss it.

I´d had it for over two and a half years, but now I think it doesn´t fit who I am anymore.

Friday I went to Park Güell with Katie. It was really incredible. It´s an entire village designed by Gaudí. I know I´ve said it before, but really, Gaudí was insane... a genius, but insane.  We walked around for a couple hours, and only saw about half.  So we´re going to go back soon.

Thank you so much for the wonderful card, BB. I was having a terrible day yesterday and I felt like shit hole until I checked my mailbox and found your card. I seriously almost started crying right before class. It totally changed my whole mood. I really do appreciate it. You rock.

Then attempting to recount the events of the previous 8 hours of intoxication.

I love this city.

It was the first day that a coat wasn´t necessary. It was sunny and perfect. Still a bit chilly but absolutely gorgeous. It put the taste of spring in my mouth and now I just can´t wait for it.
