Fitting issues with men's jacket
Hi all,
I've just started my first foray into tailored men's garments. I'm using "Tailoring: The Classic Guide to Sewing the Perfect Jacket" but I'm having some fit issues that are not addressed in the book.
The thing that I'm most unsure how to deal with is the fit of the collar.
As you can see, the collar gapes at the back of the neck (and is really small and is difficult to attach), and the seam at the sides is about 3/4" away from his neck. There don't seem to be many resources online for men's tailoring. Can anyone refer me to books or online tutorials that would help?
I have details of all the alterations I'm going to make to this jacket on my blog here. I would really love any fitting advice you could give me!
