Just a heads up for those waiting on a response from me - I'm reading everything you're saying in the comments of previous posts and I will be meeting with some folks at LJ when I return from "Eastover" (what happens when Passover gets celebrated during Eastover because that's when folks have time off). I will have limited email/internet access

It appears (as best as I can decipher from Babelfish) that Anton Nosik of SUP is calling people "idiots" for protesting, saying that there was no real demand for Basic accounts anyway except from spammers, and declaring that now he's not going to review the decision until after the planned content strike is over, because we're trying to "blackmail" him.

Still, "blackmail" and "idiots" are "blackmail" and "idiots". He really poses as some unjustly hurt innocent child.
My best guess is that he simply have no intention to run LJ in any way that requires good relations with community. If it is so, it's dead end.
