Oh my god, the lyrics to Suburban Decay are AMAZING!!!! I'm definitely about to rip the demo version off of youtube, it's that awesome. I especially like the lines And now we run among the jackals and undead, Bleeding what's left of this city dry. Not necessarily in a tinhatty way, I just really like that imagery.
I also have no idea what Better Than That might be about (obviously), but I definitely think Everybody Wants To Rule the World would be perfect here. I've always thought that a lot of the lines in that song mirror what Kradam have been going through really well. Like, Acting on your best behaviour and Help me make the most//Of freedom and of pleasure and of course There's a room where the light won't find you//Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down//When they do I'll be right behind you. When I heard Kris covering this song for the first time I totally flipped out. Yes I know. I think the two times that Kris sang EWTRTW were during a time when he was becoming especially frustrated with his management. It was just around the same time that he showed us the photo of his ring.
I have this tinhatty theory that these three singles weren't released because TPTB had some "issues" with the lyrics in the songs.
