Hey!
I need geology help. A friend of mine is trying to tell me that all the fossils on earth and all the different layers of rock were made during a flood some six thousand years ago or so. I can think of a reason or two why that might not be right off the top of my head, but I figured you'd know more and would be a good person to talk to.
Help me out please.

WEll. Carbon dating is very reliable and shows that they are far older than that (since they can't even be dated with carbon since it's half life is rarely long enough
