I watched Singing in the Rain last night. What a glorious film. I wasn't expecting to be quite so enjoyable. Really liked the satirising of Hollywood fakery, loadsa interesting material (from a Film History point of view) about the transition to talkies, and the dancing! Om my days, as my kids are wont to say... I'll be trying some of those movies

Yeah, I ended up accidently showing that one in class yesterday! We didn't really study Kelly as such, but watching that over the weekend makes me think I'd like to. Loads of fascinating stuff about the history of the "dream factory" in those films. I may take your other reommedations on board and watch them, sto see if it was just a fluke :)
