I was hoping to get some great real life reviews and recommendations from you gals as to what type of baby slings or wraps you swear by!!  I am looking to get something other than our Bjorn as I know with two kids it is going to much more challenging this time around to hold a newborn 24-7!!  THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS ( Read more... )

Mei tais rock! We used ours forever and it always put him to sleep. It was comfortable and I got so many compliments on it. It's my go-to baby present now. I got mine at babyhawk.com, but my friend likes hers from BRU just as much.

Also, we used the MT from 2 months on, because that's when we got it.

This looks like a great option as it seems to work for newborn stage on (nice feature IMHO)!!

If I could go back and just pick one carrier to buy, I'd choose the Ergo hands down. I love it!

Yeah, I think that's the plan.

If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for yours and where did you get it?

i LOVE LOVE LOVE wraps. They are a little daunting til you actually try one, but once you figure it out you wonder why you thought it was sooooo complicated! For the newborn stage - I can't go on enough about them... best part? They're just a piece of fabric, so you can go to walmart and find sosmething in their 1.00/yd section - buy 5 yards, cut to the right width and you're done (you can hem the edges, but i never did and never had a problem...) I'll have to look up the width you want - but you want like t-shirt material. Make sure its heavy enough (sometimes their materials are a little thin and those scare me) ... i based mine off the dimensions for the moby wrap ;) ... they're AWESOME! Once baby was sitting up, I switched to a mei tei cause i think they're a little more versatile (i never figured out how to put baby on my back with a wrap)

If you think about it and have a chance to measure the width that would be great. I might take my MIL up on a baby gift offer and get a real Moby!!
