Still feeling okay, even though the nerve block has worn off. I'm in a little bit of pain, but considering what they did to me, it feels like not very much at all. luckylefty is being a sweetie, and taking good care of me. Thanks to the people who entertained me at the party last night.

Since MGH is a teaching hospital, they videotaped some of the operation, with commentary by the surgeon, and Dana has a copy of this, too. After he ties the not, he says "And now we'll just tie a couple of extra knots to be sure", and it looks pretty secure.
