In 11 days, many of us are going to launch into the final Harry Potter book. This is it, the big one, the one where we find out that Obiwan Kenobi is actually Gandalf's step-father... or something like that

I love this post, and I stalled out in the first chapter of the previous book -- but Harry Potter and the Anti-Spoiler Protocol? Awesome.

Yes, but psuedo-spoilers must take the form of spoilers from widely recognized movies/books, e.g.

When Snape says to Harry, "Dumbledorf never told what really happened to your father... I am your father."

Harry Potter is "the One".

Hermione dies, but she manages to pass on her conciousness to Ron. Wackiness ensues.

And so on. I seem to recall a huge thread of these last time around.

I think "one of the things I've learned" is beautifully phrased, and I've already borrowed it (properly linked and credited) in a discussion following someone posting spoilers elsewhere.
