I missed it in school. I remember hearing about it when I got back from whatever plague had me out that week. Haven't thought about it til I was looking up something else and the name triggered old memory bells alerting me that this was something I had meant to find and forgotten.

So national health care is the first step. What I would like to see is more access, as well as national insurance. That means nurses, techs, pharmacists, even dentists can treat common ailments. It means a two year provider course in all colleges that everyone who wants to, can enroll.
It doesn't take a genius or someone who can master calculus to treat the majority of aches and pains.
The AMA has limited training slots and made the bar for practicing medicine, which in itself is pretty simple, way too high for the natural healers among us. So the first step has been taken. We need to pair it with common sense access, and then it is less like a lottery.
