The Life Of Iron:
1. The iron begins to leak water. You pour the water into the water compartment for it to make steam and somehow that water gets into the iron's wiring and shorts out the whole house. This happens repeatedly because everyone in my family insists on continuing to use the steam function even at the risk of death by electric shock

actually the same thing happened to our iron. but that was because someone dropped it. and the front came off and my mum wouldn't let us use it.
it would have been funny if we hadn't had to go to a funeral that day.
