The funniest take I ever saw on Joan Crawford and Mommie Dearest was a drag act in New Orleans 15 years ago, with Aux Shea playing the tiny and skinny harridan and Scarlett O'Hara Butler playing the hugely corpulent Christina. It was vicious in the most delicious way imaginable.

I actually saw the movie opening night in New York, and there were two dozen Joans and Baby Christina in attendance, all running madly up and down the aisles chasing one another with wire hangers.
