I'm VERY glad it finally got to a debate - The Governor did not expect it to pass this time - but it's never gotten THIS far. Every journey takes many steps.

For years the topic never got anywhere and the Senate refused to entertain it at all. Patience, my friend.

Well at least you don't have a law saying everyone can get married but you. Conservatives suck. But they won't admit they do.

...I worry that these exercises to bring a vote don't have cumulative negative impact, as it bolsters the ability of opponents to raise money.

Still, it's hard to see a way around it. It's important that Dems figure out who is a progressive and who isn't.
