True enough, but news of that particular actress leaving Dexter has been circulating since mid-October. And they’ve been setting up for that character to die for at least the last four episodes.

Really, did you think they were going to kill the other one now that that actress is married to an executive producer?

Someone had to die, and it was going to be the one who did.
