I'd love to tell students off in place of my teacher friends who can't handle it anymore.

I tell the students that their class participation grade is based on actually participating in class. Sleeping on their desks does not count.

I'd forgotten what hell Comp was until this term when I managed to score a few sections of adjunct hell from another college. Never mind the two hour commute each way, the students were a nightmare.

And now you know why mother drinks.
