Which recent photos do you speak of? Keep in mind, I've been outta the LJ loop for awhile... Point me towards the images you want opinions on.

i like the soft focus and tone in the first fixed one. i like the natural beauty (sharpness and colour) of the second original

Ah, now that's better! :)

I rather like the tone of the first altered one, too... Sometimes really obvious things don't occure to me right away, like the fact that I can tint B&W images with photoshop. It's heaps of fun. :)
And the second one... I'm awefully lucky to have captured that, that's all I can say.

I'll go have a look at those photographs just now. And I have read through my friends list... There's just a lot on there, and I can't remember it all. :P
